I’ll get more specific next week about out upcoming meeting I thought we had a Program Director, but maybe not.
Myra T is organizing Club Dinners. Way to go, Myra, the first one was super – at Carrabba’s. Fourteen members and spouses had a great time. Dinners will be on the 4th (or 5th is there is one) Monday of every odd month.
Kathy S is handling Field Trips. We went to Azalea Garden last week – a beautiful setting with lots of baby egrets. Thanks Kathy. See below for a full Spring schedule.
Barbara F has been creating QR codes for events. I think we’ve figured out how to get them to attendees. If you have any plastic pockets that attach to lanyards, we can use them for this purpose. Bring them to the next meeting.
Canva: Does anyone use it? Will you teach me? Those *^$#@@#*)* Muttonheads at Microsoft are killing Publisher. I need a new app to replace it.

“Official” Field Trip – Wed. 4.15.26 – Lukas Nursery Butterfly Encounter.
Meet at 8AM for some Macro flower shots. Encounter opens at 9. Cost: $8:95.
Warmer Weather for Speed Trials – Saturday, May 2.
The Schedule says “3PM”, but they never start riding until after 5.

Saturday, March 21, 9:00 AM. Kraft Azalea Garden- birds, flowers, lakefront view. 1365 Alabama Drive, Winter Park, 32789. Meet at the front gate, wander around the park and take pictures.
Saturday, April 4, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. FYI in case you want to go, not an “official field trip.” Leu Gardens. Free day for seniors, a lot of us qualify!
Monday, April 6, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. FYI in case you want to go, not an “official field trip.” First Monday is free day at Leu Gardens.
Saturday, April 11, British Car Show, Henry’s Depot, Sanford. See Tom for details, I’ll be out of town.
Wednesday, April 15, 8:00 AM. Lukas Nursery Butterfly Encounter, 1909 Slavia Road, Oviedo, FL (sorry it’s a weekday, but Lukas management says weekends are impossible). We will meet when the nursery opens at 8:00 AM. Lots of things to photograph around the grounds. Also, a great opportunity to practice macro with all of the flowers. The butterfly encounter opens at 9:00 AM. $8.95 per person. We will go in at 9:00 and when everyone has had enough, we will go 1 mile up the road
and have coffee and fellowship at Starbucks (7111 Red Bug Lake Road, Oviedo 32765).
Saturday, May 2, 3:00 PM. W. Volusia Saddle Club Speed Show, 321 Pleasant St, Lake Helen. Horses and riders moving fast. What could be more fun? Note time correction from previous announcement.

Saturday, May 16, 9:00 AM. Lake Eola and Orlando Architecture. 512 E. Washington St., Orlando.
Opportunities for street photography, birds, dogs strolling, nearby buildings, fountain, sculptures. Meet at the Japanese Pagoda located at the corner of the park near the intersection of N. Eola Drive and E.
Robinson Street. Two hours walking around the lake. Meet back at the Pagoda at 11:00 and then off to
early lunch at TBD.
Saturday, June 20, 10:00 AM. Audubon Center for Birds of Prey. 1101 Audubon Way, Maitland, FL. $10.00 per person. Meet at the front gate.
